Got a question?
● Plastic surgeon recommended.● Customized approach based on your specific procedure.● Unique technique for maximum drainage.● Enhance and expedite post-op results.
Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage is a therapeutic massage technique designed to stimulate the lymphatic system, promoting the elimination of toxins and excess fluids from the body. It involves gentle, rhythmic movements that encourage lymph flow, reducing swelling and improving circulation. This treatment is often sought for its aesthetic benefits, such as contouring the body and enhancing skin appearance.
During your first Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage appointment, you can expect a brief consultation where the therapist will discuss your health history and goals for the treatment. The session typically involves lying on a comfortable massage table while the therapist uses gentle, rhythmic strokes to encourage lymph flow. You may feel relaxed and experience a sense of lightness afterward, though some people might notice mild tenderness or increased urination as the body detoxifies.
Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage is generally not painful; it involves gentle, rhythmic movements designed to be soothing. While some areas may feel tender, especially if there’s built-up tension, most people find the experience relaxing. If you do experience discomfort, it’s important to communicate with your therapist so they can adjust the pressure accordingly.
We recommend initiating Post-Op Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage within 1–3 days after surgery, based on your surgeon’s guidance. Our team is certified and trained by Luciana Andrus, founder of Just For You. For optimal results, our protocol includes: 3 sessions/week (Month 1), 2 sessions/week (Month 2), and 1 session/week (Month 3). Results shown on our Instagram @clinicjustforyou and website reflect clients who followed this regimen. Note: In procedures like facelifts, some surgeons may advise starting 5–7 days post-op. Always follow your surgeon’s recommendations for best outcomes.
Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage is a specialized, scientifically informed technique designed to enhance lymphatic circulation, reduce inflammation, and support your body’s natural healing process. At Just For You Bodywork & Massage, every session is tailored to your individual needs to ensure optimal results. Preparing your body in advance allows you to experience the full benefits of this restorative treatment and leave feeling lighter, refreshed, and revitalized.
To optimize results and support your body’s natural healing process, we recommend the following preparation 24–48 hours prior to your session:● Avoid: Red meat and alcohol, as they can contribute to inflammation and hinder lymphatic function.● Choose Nutrient-Dense Foods: Focus on fresh vegetables, leafy greens, salads, and lean proteins such as eggs, fish, and chicken to provide essential nutrients for tissue recovery.● Hydration: Drink plenty of water to promote lymphatic circulation and assist in detoxification.● Rest and Recovery: Prioritize quality sleep to allow your body to repair and maximize the benefits of the treatment.● Comfortable Attire: Wear loose, comfortable clothing to make it easier to get dressed and undressed. We will keep you covered at all times and only undrape the area we are working on the body at the moment.
By following these guidelines, you create an ideal internal environment for your lymphatic system to function at its best, allowing the session to effectively reduce swelling, support tissue healing, decrease inflammation, and improve overall well-being.
Many clients notice immediate effects during their session as the lymphatic system begins to mobilize fluid and support healing:● A sensation of fluid moving in the throat, often followed by swallowing.● Gentle gurgling in the stomach due to vagus nerve stimulation in the neck area.A feeling of lightness in the legs and a deep sense of relaxation.● A natural urge to urinate as your body eliminates excess fluid and potentially good bowel movement.
In the 24–72 hours following treatment, clients often experience● Increased energy and a noticeable reduction in fatigue.● Clearer thinking with less or no brain fog.● Reduced bloating and swelling, inflammation contributing to a more sculpted appearance.● An overall sense of happiness, balance, and well-being as circulation and lymphatic flow improve.
This technique is a highly specialized, restorative treatment designed to support your body’s natural detoxification and healing processes by decreasing inflammation in the body.
Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage is more than a treatment—it’s a step toward restoring balance, improving circulation, and supporting your body’s recovery. Whether you’re preparing for or recovering from a procedure, addressing swelling and bloating, inflammation, or simply seeking a deep sense of well-being, our team is here to guide you through every step.
